It was DivKid's first module and was developed with Befaco. This is the DIY kit of the original mk1 version, for modular users who are comfortable with a soldering iron and want to build the module themselves.

Three-position switches: each channel can be latched on, muted in the centre position, or briefly opened with a momentary left position that springs back to centre.

Vactrol muting: mutes are click-free with a soft decay, on both audio and modulation.

Buffered, cascading inputs: an unpatched input picks up the signal from the channel above, so one source can be split to several destinations.

Signal LEDs: show what is passing through each channel.

Black metal panel in a 4HP width.

Mutes can be placed almost anywhere in a patch: on mixer inputs, on module inputs or outputs, on modulation, sequencer lines or gate sources. Because the inputs cascade, you can send one signal to several destinations and drop each one in and out by hand, which is useful for dub-style effect sends and for performing arrangements live.

The vactrols do not pass exact voltages accurately, so DivKid does not recommend Mutes for quantised pitch CV or any patch where the precise voltage matters.
