Each mode also applies an EQ curve derived from analog hardware, and tones can be selected from the UAD Console app as well as the front panel.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSwitchable +48V phantom power is available on the XLR and turns off automatically when a 1\/4 inch plug is connected. The front panel also has signal\/clip LEDs for both gain controls, a MUTE button for monitors and headphones, and separate monitor and headphone level knobs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Volt 1 Gen 2 runs class-compliant on Mac, iPad and iPhone, while Windows uses UA's ASIO driver installed through UA Connect. A second USB-C port accepts 5V power for hosts that cannot supply enough current, and Lightning devices need Apple's Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.
