Multi Repetitor

The Multi Repetitor is a four-channel algorithmic trigger sequencer and the long-awaited successor to Noise Engineering's classic Numeric and Zularic Repetitor modules. The workflow is incredibly straightforward: Patch the four trigger outputs to your drums, input a tempo or send a clock signal – and you're ready to go. Five faders give you direct control: The Prime fader selects a basic rhythm, while the four Factor faders modify the pattern of each channel using one of three algorithms. Small movements produce surprisingly different results – making the module truly performance-ready.

The three rhythm banks cover a wide range of styles: mathematically derived patterns from the Numeric Repetitor, world music-inspired grooves from the Zularic Repetitor, and a new Euclidean bank for more evenly distributed patterns. The Modify switch determines how the Factor faders interact with the Prime—whether they shift rhythms, multiply them, or jump to completely different variations. New in this version are the accent outputs: each trigger channel gets its own accent gate, derived from its neighboring channels. This creates interconnected dynamics between your drum parts.

In standalone mode, the reset tap button functions as a tap tempo. With an external clock, it becomes a reset button – holding it down mutes all outputs. All faders are CV-responsive, allowing sequencers or LFOs to take over when your hands are busy elsewhere. For those who prefer the faders at the bottom rather than the top, the entire interface can be inverted at startup via a simple configuration (faders in the up position remain in the up position) – handy if the Multi Repetitor ends up in the lower rows of your case. All in all, a true rhythm station in just 10 HP – a powerful piece of kit!
