Meet the Instruō øchd expander ([ø]4²) — the expansion module for one of Eurorack’s most beloved modulation sources, the øchd.
First launched in 2019 and designed in collaboration with Ben “DivKid” Wilson, the øchd quickly became a staple in thousands of Eurorack systems as a compact and versatile modulation source. The øchd expander [ø]4² builds on that legacy, adding 16 extra outputs and four new layers of functionality to øchd’s normal operation.
Using øchd’s eight LFOs as signal sources, the expander introduces:
Full-wave rectified unipolar positive LFOs
Analog diode logic for minimum and maximum voltage mixing
Cascading stochastic trigger signals for complex rhythmic patterns
R-2R 4-bit random voltage sources for unpredictable variations
All of these remain tied to øchd’s global frequency control and CV attenuverter, making them intuitive and easy to integrate.
8 LFOs in 4HP is impressive — but with the øchd expander you now get 24 modulation sources in just 8HP.
