Atlas – Quad-Core Multimode Filter
When it comes to the sound signature of synthesizers, filters are often the defining element. Atlas takes inspiration from the silky, creamy tones of 1980s Japanese classics, bringing them into the modern era with precision engineering and expanded functionality.
At its heart are four gain-cell-based multimode VCF circuits, each carefully tuned for character and clarity. The improved design lowers noise, offers accurate resonance compensation, and introduces a daisy-chain input system for advanced techniques such as effortless parallel filtering.
Each channel offers three filter modes — 4-pole low-pass, 2-pole high-pass, and 4-pole band-pass — covering everything from smooth sweeps to complex multi-slope resonant textures. The precision resonance circuit enables clean sine wave self-oscillation, turning each core into a sine oscillator for TR-style percussion when excited with triggers or gates.
Adding to its versatility, Atlas includes a CV-controlled interpolating scanner that morphs seamlessly between filter outputs, generating evolving timbres and dynamic movement within your patches.
