The Befaco 7U Case DIY Kit + Backpack, which Befaco calls the 7U Case Backpack DIY Set, pairs Befaco's self-assembly 7U Eurorack case with a backpack made specifically for it. It suits modular players who take their system to gigs, studio sessions or on flights and are comfortable building their own case.
-
Metal frame: a light, strong one-piece aluminium frame, anodised black
-
Three rows: two 3U rows and one Intellijel-format 1U row, each 104 HP
-
Module depth: 53 mm on the power supply side and 70 mm everywhere else
-
Rear connectivity: Intellijel-format connectors for external gear, including 1/4" jacks, MIDI DIN and USB
-
Security: vandal-proof power button and a Kensington lock connector
-
Travel backpack: padded, expandable, with a laptop compartment and accessory pockets
The case is powered by Befaco's Trolley Bus supply, and VESA 100 threads on the case let you mount it on a stand. The rear connectors use the Intellijel format, so Intellijel 1U modules fit the case.
The backpack has a soft padded interior. It expands when you need extra room and stays compact when you don't. Separate pockets hold cables, headphones, power supplies and small gear. A hidden pocket keeps knurlies and other small parts together. Befaco describes it as cabin-friendly for air travel. Befaco rates the case kit as a medium-difficulty DIY build.
