The Befaco Atte is a 4 HP Eurorack utility module that combines four attenuator/inverter channels with splitting and offset generation. It is built to scale audio or CV signals and route them to different destinations, so it fits almost any system that needs basic level control, polarity flipping and fixed voltages.
-
Four channels: four identical unity-gain amplifiers, each scaling its input from 0 to 1, or from 0 to -1 when inverted
-
Per-channel inversion: a dedicated switch on every channel flips the polarity of the output
-
Exact zero: each pot gives a true zero at its fully counter-clockwise position
-
Cascaded inputs: each input is normalled to the next, so one signal can feed several channels as a splitter
-
Offset generator: channel 1 is normalled to 10V, giving an adjustable fixed voltage with nothing patched
-
Visual feedback: four LEDs show the level and polarity of each output
The normalling makes the Atte more flexible than four separate attenuators. Patch one LFO or envelope into the first input and it is copied down the following channels, each with its own depth and polarity, so a single modulation source can drive several destinations at different amounts. Leave channel 1 empty and it becomes a manual offset for shifting oscillator pitch or setting a filter's base cutoff.
The assembled module is 25 mm deep, which suits shallow cases. Befaco designs the Atte and assembles it in Barcelona.
