Overview & Tech Specs
Overview & Tech Specs
The Korg NTS-4 is a compact performance mixer sold as a DIY kit, the fourth model in Korg's Nu:Tekt series. It is built for small hardware rigs, such as volca units, NTS instruments, modular gear and desktop synths, and can act as the central hub of a live or DAWless setup.
- Six channels: four stereo and two mono, all on 3.5 mm minijacks, for up to 10 audio signals in total
- Modular-ready mono inputs: an internal attenuator switches them between line level and modular level for direct Eurorack connection
- Two stereo effects engines: per-channel SEND FX plus a TOTAL FX engine on the master output
- Channel controls: level, MUTE, CUE and FX send on every channel, with CUE for private headphone monitoring
- USB audio and MIDI: USB carries both, and MIDI received over USB can be routed to a MIDI OUT for external hardware
Korg describes assembly as simple, with no special tools or soldering needed. A dedicated stereo SEND and RETURN pair lets you add external effects. The SEND FX engine covers effects such as delay, reverb and chorus, while the TOTAL FX engine on the master output offers filters, modulation, drive and compression.
