Mad Sound Factory KOMMUTATOR Pro: The Ultimate Format Bridge
Product Description
The Mad Sound Factory KOMMUTATOR Pro is the definitive desktop patch bay for the modern modular explorer. Designed to eliminate the "adapter cable zoo," it allows you to seamlessly interconnect virtually any modular standard, including SOMA Alligator Pins, Banana jacks, Eurorack 3.5mm jacks, 1/4" Phono jacks, and IDC pin headers. By centralizing your signal routing and conversion, the KOMMUTATOR Pro turns disparate systems into one unified, collaborative instrument.
Key Features
- Universal Connectivity: 18 independent conversion lines that map between SOMA pins, Banana, Eurorack 3.5mm, 1/4" TRS, and IDC headers—all without custom adapters.
- Advanced Routing & Buses: Features 4 dedicated signal busses and a dedicated ground bus, allowing for sophisticated signal distribution and clean, interference-free performance.
- Integrated TRS Switching: Includes two pairs of conversion lines specifically combined to the tips and rings of 1/4" TRS jacks, with dedicated switches to connect rings to adjacent lines.
- Flexible Splitter Functionality: Switches located in the center of the board allow you to easily combine signals or use them as passive splitters for complex patching.
- Professional Design: A robust, studio-grade build that serves as the heart of your modular lab, ensuring your audio and CV remain pure and reliable.
