Reliq Instruments — Reliq: Hybrid control center with analog matrix mixer, sequencer and DAW controller in one – plus breakout box for all analog connections
The Reliq is a hybrid control center that combines analog matrix mixing, polyphonic sequencing, and DAW integration into one large, tactile instrument. Five years of development went into this device. It was designed to make your entire studio—Eurorack, standalone synthesizers, software, pedals—work together as a single system. The user interface is impressive: 256 backlit grid pads, 16 encoders, a joystick for navigation, and a wide display with a 1920×515 pixel resolution. On it, you can see tracks, clips, routings, and automation.
At its heart is a fully analog, click-free matrix mixer. Connect any input to any output with the touch of a button, save up to 128 routings per project, and—here's where it gets interesting—sequence your signal flow to musical tempo. Your patch routing becomes part of the composition. This works equally well with audio, CV, Eurorack levels, line-level equipment, and pedals.
All analog connectivity is housed on an included breakout module, which connects to the Reliq via a single USB-C cable. Leave the breakout box wired in your rack or studio corner, grab the main unit, and you're ready to go. The Reliq is available in two versions: one with wooden side panels and a matching breakout enclosure, and the other all black. The I/O setup is comprehensive: 16 audio inputs and outputs, 32 CV outputs, 16 gates, clock and reset, three MIDI outputs, one MIDI input, USB-MIDI, USB host, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
The sequencer offers 16 tracks, each with 8-voice polyphony and up to 32,768 steps per pattern. You get 256 clips per track, Euclidean modes, probability, trigger conditions, parameter locks, and microtiming at 768 PPQN. Modulation comes from 16 LFOs (up to 60 Hz), 16 ADSR envelopes, and 8 automation tracks with interpolation. DAW integration via scripts for Ableton Live, Bitwig, and Logic Pro is seamless. Sample-accurate U-SYNC keeps hardware and software perfectly synchronized. Song mode handles all arrangement tasks. Regular firmware updates continuously expand the feature set based on community feedback.
If you're looking for something that connects your entire setup in a new and exciting way – the Reliq could be just what you need!
