It suits Atlantix owners who want more patch points for self-patching, more complex routing and connections to the rest of their system, and who would rather spend 1U row space than 3U space. It has the same functions as the 3U Atlx.
Breaking out the individual waveforms and filter responses lets the semi-modular Atlantix behave more like a fully modular voice. With the separate oscillator outputs you get more flexible FM and cross-modulation, and the filter taps give you the whole Atlantix filter section rather than a single response.
