  • Voicingextended low-frequency response for kick drums, floor toms and bass cabinets
  • Outputtransformerless balanced low-impedance connection

Overview

The Audix D6 is a dynamic, low-frequency instrument microphone suitable for kick drums, large toms, bass cabinets, and leslie bottom. The cardioid polar pattern rejects off-axis noise and ambiance caused by additional instruments, monitors, etc.

The Audix D6 features VLM technology providing a sensitivity and sonic response resulting in a rounded, warm low-end while handling extremely high-sound pressure levels. The Audix D6 provides a consistent pickup, eliminating the need to locate the "sweet spot". The D6 includes a snap-on clip and carrying pouch.

Audix D6 Kick Drum Microphone Features:

  • Cardioid polar pattern rejects sound from external sources
  • Tuned especially for kick and bass
  • 30Hz–15kHz frequency response sports big bumps right where you need it
  • Not dependent on finding "sweet spot" for good sound
  • VLM diaphragm for fast transient response
  • Maximum SPL of 144dB: more than enough to withstand a pounding kick drum or thumping bass cab
  • Rugged machine aluminum housing
