The Befaco 7U Case is a powered Eurorack case built around a black anodised unibody aluminium frame. It holds two 104HP 3U rows plus a 104HP row in Intellijel 1U format. The slim build, included clear cover and Kensington lock point make it suited to systems used at home, in the studio and on stage. This is the assembled version.
-
7U, 104HP layout: two 3U rows and one Intellijel-format 1U row, with room for up to 36 modules on M3 threaded strips
-
Trolley Bus power: Befaco's built-in supply delivers +12V 5000mA, -12V 2500mA and +5V 4000mA, fed by an included 135W power brick
-
Rear I/O: six 6.3mm jacks (balanced or unbalanced), MIDI DIN In/Out/Thru, USB Type B and USB-A charging ports, routed through an internal I/O board
-
Movable 1U row: the 1U row can be relocated to the centre of the case by undoing two screws
-
Clear PET-G cover: closes over patched cables and is held shut with an included velcro belt
-
VESA 100 mounting: threads on the underside for desk or wall stands
The rear connectors are reached from inside the case through an internal I/O board that works with Intellijel 1U modules. Audio, MIDI and USB can be brought out to the back panel, which keeps the front clear for patching. The USB-A ports can charge Apple-compatible devices.
Module depth is 53mm on the power supply side and 70mm across the rest of the case. Check deeper modules before planning a layout. The power button is a vandal-resistant type, and the Kensington connector lets you lock the case to a fixed point. With the cover fitted the case measures 14cm deep and weighs 3.4kg. For stand mounting, Befaco recommends a VESA stand rated above 12kg. A dedicated 7U backpack is available separately from Befaco and is not included.
