The Befaco 7U Case + Backpack set combines Befaco's slim, powered 7U Eurorack case with the 7U Backpack built to carry it. It suits modular players who move a system between studio, rehearsal and stage and want power, patch space and rear I/O in one unit.
-
Unibody aluminium frame: one-piece black anodised chassis, slim and sturdy for travel
-
Three rows: two 3U rows of 104HP plus one 104HP 1U row in Intellijel format, for up to 36 modules
-
Trolley Bus power: +12V 5000mA, -12V 2500mA and +5V 4000mA, fed by an included 135W power brick
-
Rear I/O: six 6.3mm jacks (balanced or unbalanced), MIDI DIN In/Out/Thru, USB Type B and USB-A charging ports, wired through an internal Intellijel-format I/O board
-
Clear PET-G cover: closes over patched modules and is held shut with a velcro belt
-
Dedicated backpack: shaped to fit the case, with accessory pockets and ergonomic shoulder straps
The case has 53mm of module depth on the power supply side and 70mm across the rest. The M3 threaded strips take standard metric screws, and the 1U row can be moved to the centre of the case by undoing two screws.
Because the rear connectors follow Intellijel's 1U format, Intellijel-compatible 1U modules can route audio, MIDI and USB straight to the back panel. That makes it practical to plug in at a gig without patching cables across the front. For fixed setups, VESA 100 threads on the base allow mounting on a desk or wall stand. A vandal-resistant power button and a Kensington lock connector add some security in shared spaces.
The backpack has room for cables, headphones, power supplies and small accessories next to the case. Its straps are designed to spread the weight of a loaded system across your back.
