Befaco CV Thing – DIY Kit

The Befaco CV Thing is a 6HP Eurorack module that converts control voltages into MIDI, so your modular system can drive external synths, drum machines, software and other MIDI gear. Derived from Befaco's larger VCMC, it suits compact performance rigs where panel space is limited. This listing is the DIY kit version, which you assemble yourself.

Typical uses include sending envelopes or LFOs as MIDI CC to automate parameters on outboard gear, turning a modular clock into MIDI Clock with Start/Stop, triggering Program Changes from gates, and playing a MIDI synth from a V/Oct sequence. Mapping is handled from a simple front-panel interface, and Befaco also offers a web-based editor.

Befaco supports the kit with an assembly manual, an interactive build guide, schematic, BOM and user manual. The firmware is open source and published on GitHub. The DIY build is 32mm deep including the power connector.
