The Befaco Morphader DIY Kit is the self-build version of Befaco's four-channel, CV-controlled crossfader for Eurorack. It moves multichannel CV or audio from one four-channel scene to another and is designed for live performance. It suits modular players who build their own modules and want a hands-on way to morph between sets of modulation or audio.
-
Four crossfaders: each channel has its own CV-controllable crossfade, and a master fader acts on all four at once.
-
Normalled mix: the four crossfades are summed at the fourth output. Patching a channel's own output removes that channel from the mix.
-
Input attenuators and normalled voltages: each input has an attenuator and is normalled to a voltage, so you can morph between CV levels without patching any sources.
-
Audio or CV per channel: a switch on each channel sets the response for audio or control voltage.
-
Lag on the master fader smooths movements, and an LED on each channel shows the signal level.
The kit comes pre-soldered, with all surface-mount parts already on the board, so the remaining assembly is left to the builder. Befaco rates it at medium difficulty. Befaco publishes a user manual, an assembly manual, a BOM, the schematic and a PCB reference for the build. The finished module is 12 HP wide and 26 mm deep, which leaves room for shallow cases.
