The Befaco Oneiroi Pod pairs the Oneiroi, Befaco's experimental digital synth voice for ambient pads and drone soundscapes, with a custom 42HP powered Eurorack case made together with 4ms. It works as a compact standalone instrument and connects easily to desktop synths, effects pedals or a larger modular system. Players who are new to modular can start with it without any other Eurorack gear.
-
Three oscillators: sine, stereo supersaw and wavetable sources, with stable tuning across 8 octaves
-
Multimode filter: low pass, band pass, high pass and comb modes
-
Effects chain: resonator with feedback and tuning controls, plus echo and reverb
-
Stereo looper: up to 5 seconds with varispeed, recording either the stereo input or the module's own output
-
Hands-on modulation: internal modulation with several routing options, randomisation with undo/redo, and a CV input for each parameter in the mixer section
-
Powered 42HP case: built-in supply with four Eurorack power headers and space next to the 30HP Oneiroi for additional modules
The Oneiroi processes stereo audio at 24-bit/48kHz with 32-bit internal processing. Its sound sources, filter, resonator and time-based effects are built for evolving textures, and the looper lets you capture incoming audio or your own patch and reshape it with varispeed.
The Pod is a black anodised aluminium case with two barrel power jacks, so it can be daisy-chained with other 4ms Pods. A power brick, rubber feet and blank panels are included, among them a cheat sheet panel that lists the button combinations and startup settings.
