The XFADE is a high-quality utility designed for smooth, linear transitions between two audio or CV inputs. By utilizing a specialized VCA-based circuit, it allows for "morphing" between sources without the clicks or thumps often found in standard mixers. In a performance setting, the XFADE is perfect for crossfading between two distinct voices or blending dry and wet signals from an effects loop. Its high-resolution CV input responds accurately to audio-rate modulation, turning the module into a powerful tool for complex amplitude modulation and wave-shaping.
