| DivKid Mutes is a compact 4HP performance mute utility for Eurorack. It was DivKid's first module and was developed with Befaco. This is the DIY kit of the original mk1 version, for modular users who are comfortable with a soldering iron and want to build the module themselves.
Mutes can be placed almost anywhere in a patch: on mixer inputs, on module inputs or outputs, on modulation, sequencer lines or gate sources. Because the inputs cascade, you can send one signal to several destinations and drop each one in and out by hand, which is useful for dub-style effect sends and for performing arrangements live. The vactrols do not pass exact voltages accurately, so DivKid does not recommend Mutes for quantised pitch CV or any patch where the precise voltage matters.
