The DivKid Output Bus is an 8HP Eurorack module developed by DivKid with Befaco. It is a stereo summing mixer and output stage for the end of a modular system, modelled on the summing units used in studios and pro audio. It is for anyone who needs to combine submixes, bring effects back in and get a clean, properly levelled signal out of the case for recording or live use.
-
Six stereo inputs for summing submixers, voices or effects returns into one master bus
-
Switchable input 6 accepts either line or modular level, so drum machines and other line-level gear can sit alongside the rack
-
Soft clipping on the main output to tame peaks
-
Multiple outputs: modular-level 3.5mm out plus a balanced 1/4" jack out for mixers and interfaces
-
Headphone monitoring on 3.5mm and 6.5mm jacks with its own level control
-
LED VU meter for checking levels at a glance
The Output Bus is designed to pair with the DivKid and Befaco Stereo Strip channel strip module, but it works just as well after any mixer. Mono or stereo effects can be returned to the master bus, and external stereo line-level gear can be patched straight in. A large red knob sets the main volume. The headphone outputs and meter keep working while the master output is muted, so you can cue up and check a patch before sending it to the PA or recorder. DivKid describes it as a summing mixer, output stage, soft clip limiter, line-level integrator, meter and headphone monitor in one 8HP module, aimed at common mixing and output problems in Eurorack.
