The A-101-2 is Doepfer’s take on the classic lowpass gate, built around vactrols for smooth, natural-sounding response. This Eurorack module merges filter and VCA functionality in one versatile circuit, letting you choose between lowpass filtering, amplitude control, or a hybrid "gate" mode that blends both.
With its soft, organic envelope curves, the A-101-2 excels at creating percussive and acoustic-style tones, especially when triggered with envelopes or gates. A dedicated Drive knob adds saturation and harmonic richness. Whether you’re shaping plucky sequences or want a Buchla-style tone sculpting tool, the A-101-2 delivers with subtlety and depth.
