The Doepfer A-162 is a dual-channel trigger delay module, specifically designed to introduce controllable delays to incoming trigger or gate signals. Each of the two channels features its own pair of knobs for adjusting delay time (when the output should activate after the input trigger) and pulse length (how long the output stays high).
This allows for precise rhythmic manipulation – from tightening or loosening timing between modules to introducing subtle groove variations like swing or flam. It’s especially useful for aligning envelope triggers, delaying drum hits, or offsetting events that should occur after a fixed pause.
Compatible with both trigger and gate inputs, the A-162 outputs clean 5V triggers, making it suitable for triggering envelopes, switches, or any event that benefits from delayed activation. A simple but highly effective tool in any rhythmic or timing-centric Eurorack setup.
