Doepfer A-198 Trautonium Controller (Module only)

Doepfer A-198 Trautonium Controller (Module Only): Expressive Ribbon Control for Modular Synths

The Doepfer A-198 is a Eurorack module based on the legendary Trautonium ribbon controller. When paired with the external A-198 ribbon (sold separately), it outputs position and pressure data as control voltages, along with a gate signal—ideal for expressive pitch bends, vibrato, and nuanced dynamics.

Key Features:

• Reads position and pressure from external ribbon controller

• Outputs CV for position and pressure, plus gate on touch

• Designed for fluid, expressive control and live modulation

• Based on the original Mixtur-Trautonium controller concept

• Enables unique glissando, vibrato, and pressure response in your patch

Technical Specifications:

• Width: 8 HP / Depth: 50 mm

• Power Consumption: +12V: 50 mA / -12V: 0 mA

• Requires A-198 ribbon controller (not included)

A gateway to classic gestural control in modern modular synthesis.
