The Klavis Quadigy is a 14HP Eurorack module with four programmable envelope generators, designed for live performance. It packs four complex, CV-controllable envelopes and a preset system into a compact, skiff-friendly panel, and its Live mode lets you change envelopes on stage without risking a carefully built patch.
-
Four 7-stage envelopes: pre-delay, hold, attack, punch, decay, sustain and release, with attack, decay and release curves adjustable from logarithmic to exponential
-
Per-envelope output control: independent output level and inversion; driving the level with CV gives each envelope the behaviour of a built-in VCA
-
Cycling and clock sync: envelopes can loop, with fit-to-clock and elastic time stretching, five internal clocks with tap tempo, multiply/divide and offset, and external clock control
-
CV matrix: CV A, CV B and the User knob can each be routed, with set amount and polarity, to 13 destinations per envelope, for 156 simultaneous links
-
32 nameable presets: selectable by CV or trigger, with morphing between presets and within the CV matrix
Each envelope can run in gate or trigger mode, with options for full attack, join or restart transitions and a morph time of 0 to 120 seconds. A Global Time factor scales every time setting at once: at its centre position each stage reaches up to 30 seconds, and the 0 to 800% range stretches a single stage to as long as four minutes, so the Quadigy covers both snappy percussive shapes and slow, evolving modulation.
Two operating modes shape the workflow. The full mode exposes every parameter for programming, while Live mode narrows the interface down to the settings that make sense to adjust during a performance. A graphic OLED display handles editing, and LEDs show the active stage of each envelope in real time. Multi-editing lets you adjust several envelopes together for polyphonic patches, and a manual gate can be fired from the encoder button on the envelope pages. Settings are retained when the power is cycled.
On the panel you get four gate/trigger inputs (cascaded), CV A and CV B inputs, and four envelope outputs reaching up to 8V. Firmware is updated by playing an audio file into the CV A input. The module is available with a printed silver aluminium panel or a brushed black anodised aluminium panel.
