The Noise Engineering Sono Abitus is a 4 HP Eurorack output module that gets a stereo mix out of your case. It provides balanced line outputs and a headphone output, each with its own level control, for modular players who need to feed speakers, a PA, an audio interface or a mixer while monitoring on headphones, live or in the studio.
-
Balanced line outputs: stereo pair of 1/4" TRS jacks, level set by the Master knob
-
Headphone output: 1/4" TRS jack with its own Phones level knob
-
Stereo inputs: Eurorack-level 3.5 mm L/R inputs that feed both the line and headphone outputs
-
Mono normalling: with nothing patched to R, the L input is sent to both sides
-
Level LEDs: an indicator for each input shows incoming signal level
-
Compact build: 4 HP wide, 1.5 inches deep, with reverse power protection
Noise Engineering designed Sono Abitus for its own home and live systems, aiming for a small, simple output stage with separate headphone and line levels. Setup is straightforward: patch your final mix into L and R, plug headphones into Phones and run TRS cables from the line outputs to your monitors or interface.
The headphone amplifier has plenty of gain. In a quiet room, the first quarter of the Phones knob will usually cover all the level you need. The outputs are for sending signal only: patching signals into the headphone or TRS jacks can damage the output drivers.
