The sE Electronics V7 MC1 Gold is a gold-finish replacement capsule that turns a compatible Shure handheld wireless transmitter into an sE V7, the company's supercardioid dynamic vocal microphone. It is aimed at live singers, presenters and engineers who already run Shure handheld wireless systems and want the V7 capsule on stage. It is a capsule only and needs a handheld transmitter to work.
-
Supercardioid dynamic capsule: the DMC7 insert with an aluminium voice coil and neodymium magnet, suited to vocals and speech
-
Broad compatibility: fits all Shure handheld transmitters except the BLX and GLX-D series, and sE also lists Audio-Technica 3000 series wireless systems
-
Patented internal shockmount: decouples the capsule from the body to keep handling noise down
-
Rugged construction: zinc alloy body with a spring-steel mesh grille designed to resist dents and corrosion, with a bevelled edge that stops the mic rolling when laid down
-
Switchable internal windscreen: helps control wind noise and plosives, with a spare screen included
-
Gold-plated contacts for the connection to the transmitter
The tight supercardioid pickup is intended to keep spill from nearby instruments out of the vocal channel and to give plenty of gain before feedback on loud stages. On paper the capsule covers 40 Hz to 19 kHz with a sensitivity of 2.0 mV/Pa. A protective pouch and thread cover come in the box, so the capsule can be stored safely when it is off the transmitter. The V7 MC1 is also offered in other finishes, including standard, black, nickel, white and red.
