The sE Electronics V8 MC1 Black is a dynamic supercardioid vocal capsule that fits Shure handheld wireless transmitters. It is the wireless capsule version of sE's V8 handheld vocal mic, aimed mainly at live singers. It also suits speech, broadcasting and podcasting. It is a capsule only, not a complete wired microphone.
-
DMCV8 dynamic capsule: a new capsule developed from sE's V7, with a neodymium magnet and an aluminum voice coil
-
Supercardioid pattern: rejects off-axis sound to reduce stage bleed and feedback
-
Integrated shock mount: a patented capsule suspension that reduces handling noise
-
Rugged build: all-metal housing and a beveled stainless spring-steel mesh grille that sE says resists dents and corrosion
-
Gold-plated contacts and a matte black finish
sE describes the sound as clear and natural, with an open vocal tone intended to need less EQ at the desk. The manual points to a balanced midrange and an extended low end. The stated frequency range runs from 25 Hz to 21 kHz.
Note that this capsule's sensitivity (4.1 mV/Pa) and impedance (1,300 ohms) differ from the wired V8. sE lists compatibility with Shure wireless systems but does not name specific transmitter models. sE has no affiliation with Shure.
The capsule comes with a leatherette pouch, a thread protection cover, a black internal windscreen and a microfiber polishing cloth.
