Tato Audio Aline: Compositional Performance Sequencer
Product Description
The Tato Audio Aline is a sophisticated 16-channel performance sequencer designed to treat music production like a language. Eschewing the limitations of traditional, rigid step-sequencing, Aline empowers you to shape layers of sound using a variety of "Engines"—ranging from imperative note-based programming to complex, generative parametric sequences. With its ability to let individual channels modulate one another, Aline allows for organic, evolving compositions that feel less like programmed loops and more like live, breathing performances.
Key Features
- 16-Channel Multilayer Sequencing: Manage 16 independent layers, each capable of acting as a distinct sequencer, modulator, or rhythmic engine.
- Dynamic "Engine" System: Utilize 9 distinct engines (including Euclidean, Arpeggiator, Chord Progression, and Clump-based generation) to craft sequences in moments.
- Layer Interaction: A unique workflow where one layer can define the pitch or velocity of another, creating intricate polyrhythmic relationships and evolving complexity.
- Performance-Ready Design: Onboard keyboard for real-time input and deep editing capabilities that allow you to adjust pitch, gate, and timing on the fly.
- Hybrid Connectivity: Built for both studio and stage, featuring extensive MIDI (USB-C and 3.5mm TRS) alongside 6 dedicated CV/Gate/Velocity outputs for seamless Eurorack integration.
