The Black Keys Peach Fuzz is a limited-edition octave fuzz pedal from Warm Audio's MOD Series, developed with Dan Auerbach. It builds on Warm Audio's own '70s Foxy-style fuzz and octave circuit and is aimed at guitarists after vintage octave fuzz for riffs and leads. Warm Audio also suggests it for bass, synthesizers and drum machines.
-
Octave-up switch: set it to latching to keep the octave on, or momentary to bring it in for single notes, riffs or solos
-
Three controls: Volume, Sustain and a Mellow-to-Brite tone control
-
Vintage-style parts: NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors, germanium 1N34A diodes, carbon resistors and film capacitors
-
True bypass switching with a red LED indicator
-
Compact enclosure with top-mounted jacks, smaller than the original wedge shape
The tonal range runs from mellow fuzz and gritty crunch through to heavily saturated sounds and octave-up leads. The Mellow/Brite control moves the character from low-gain grit towards thick, heavier fuzz. Warm Audio's suggested settings include "Broken On Purpose", "Just Peachy Octave" and "Saturated Leads", which give a good idea of where the pedal is at home.
The housing is covered in thick peach-coloured flocked velvet, a nod to The Black Keys' 2026 album. It runs on a 9V battery or a standard 9V DC centre-negative adapter.
