Two decades ago, the portable, battery-powered microKORG was released with a radical new micro keybed, a powerful vocoder and ready-made sounds ideal for today's genres, delivering countless hit productions and instantly revolutionizing the way music musicians played! This compact sound monster introduced synthesis to a wide range of non-keyboard-playing musicians and created a way of making music that we now take for granted: a small keyboard that rests modestly atop a larger keyboard on stage and was made for use by hobbyists and professionals. It thus became the face of studios all over the world; from the smallest bedroom to the largest professional recording facility.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this release, the special edition microKORG Crystal offers a unique and stunningly stylish take on this beloved synth - already a classic in its own right.
